Bonus Tydskrif SPRING SUMMER 2024 FINAL

The Agri Relief Foundation (ARF) hosted a golf day on 4 October 2024 to raise awareness and collect donations to support farmers in need. The event was a great success, with everyone having a fantastic time on the course, all for a good cause. The ARF is actively involved in projects that build capacity to combat disasters in regions prone to these challenges. Their work includes: Establishing central distribution Points for wildfire-fighting stations in high-risk areas like the Highveld of North West, Mpumalanga, and the Free State. Sourcing and maintaining firefighters and creating logistical solutions for rapid deployment when wildfires break out. Additionally, the ARF plays a critical role in managing the risks associated with politically motivated crimes, such as riots and farm murders. The ARF funds projects to help farmers in high-risk areas protect themselves, their workers, and their property. They also step in to provide short-term assistance to productive farming operations affected by disasters, including farm attacks, murders, and small- scale riot activity. The golf day was not only about raising funds but also brought together supporters who enjoyed a day of fun and camaraderie while making a real difference in the lives of those in need.
