How risk is managed with PPA funding A power purchase agreement (PPA) provides cost savings by replacing a significant portion of your utility energy supply with clean solar energy. Our PPA fee is offered at a discount to your Eskom energy bill, improving your bottom line from day one. A battery energy storage system (BESS) enables you to take control of your energy security without the major capital expenditure required to purchase a BESS outright. The funder covers 100% of the upfront and ongoing costs for the system, saving you time and money. The funder owns and insures the GreenTower ESS that is installed, operated, maintained and monitored by Ordiphase at no cost to you. Our due diligence process ensures that you never pay more for your solar power than you pay Eskom. We guarantee 90% of our proposed solar savings. We understand that things could change during the term of the PPA. For this reason, a solar plant buy-out option is available at any time during the term of the PPA contract. Alternatively the plant will automatically transfer in ownership to you at the end of year 10 (or year 15). Comprehensive operations and maintenance compared to Eskom Every customer has experienced the frustrations of dealing with Eskom, where regular electricity outages are the norm due to load shedding, load reduction, or faults. Notification of when electricity will be restored is either not given or estimates are seldom accurate.
