At Badger we offer livestock solutions for sheep, cattle, and goats as well as feeding equipment, and steel structures. We have a comprehensive selection of equipment for sheep and goats , offering creep feed pens for sheep, as well as workstations, and crush gates for both. This includes: • crush gates for sheep (covered with 2,5 m x 1 m plate), and for goats (covered with 2,5 m x 1,2 m plate) – thoughtfully designed with covered plates to prevent the animal’s head from going through the gate during handling, ensuring a smoother flow while working with your animals; • full grown sheep handling gates (3 m x 1 m) – specifically designed to use with larger sheep due to the 180 mm gaps between the horizontals; kraal gates • (1,2 m x 3 m) for goats; and kraal gates (1,2 m x 2,5 m) covered with flattex designed for goats – taking into account their notorious tendencies, ensuring they stay securely contained where they should be and preventing any potential nuisance caused by their wandering; • sheep lamb kraal gates of 3 m x 1 m – carefully designed with spacings between the bottom horizontals set at 100 mm to ensure that the lambs remain securely within the kraal ; • guillotine gates for sheep (0,9 m x 0,5 m) and for goats (1,2 m x 0,45 m) – serving a dual purpose in your crush by allowing your animals to enter while preventing them from exiting; • sorting units for sheep (0,9 m x 0,5 m), and for goats (1,2 m x 0,45 m) that seamlessly connects to our mobile crushes; • sheep and goat workstations with an optional scale – designed to minimise the strain on the animals and on your back; • the sheep and goats tilt workstation – purpose-built for treating your animal’s hooves and performing estrus synchronisation in ewes; and • the adjustable loading ramp of 1,7 m – effortlessly facilitates the loading of sheep and goats onto a bakkie, trailer, or truck. Our cattle equipment includes: • the cattle body and neck clamp combination – versatile and efficient, it’s designed to accommodate animals of all sizes, from small calves of 280 mm to large bulls measuring 800 mm; • the plated cattle circular sweep tub – straightforward assembly with the panels bolted together for easy setup and a design that aims to minimise stress on animals, ensuring a more efficient and smooth handling process; and • the cattle neck clamp – designed to securely hold animals of various sizes, from weaned calves to the largest bulls. To help with the feeding of your livestock, we offer the following: • the square bale holder; • the salt & protein block “bar”; • the sheep creep feed pen; • the 2,4 m x 1,2 m self-feeder with head spaces on both sides; • 1,7 m cattle hay rings – standard ring and swing gate ring; and • hay hangers (600 mm). Our wide range of products are rounded off with our fully enclosed steel structure of 25 m x 12 m x 4,5 m or made according to custom measurements to suit your unique size requirements. These are manufactured using I-beams and PFC channels for superior strength and durability and can be made with or without doors.
